Application Tips
To use: Try any of the below or combine applications to find what is best for your individual skin type. For Best Results we recommend applying to clean skin, that has been misted with one of our MendoTherapy Mists. For all applications and skin types: We recommend our Complexion Perfection Veil for finishing or touch ups throughout the day, and our Mendotherapy Mists for an immediate natural look that is revitalizing to the skin.
Dry (natural matte): Dispense small amount into lid of container, dip brush*, tap to remove excess, apply to face (and neck if desired) by gently brushing on skin. Continue the process for all areas desired. Depending on the coverage desired, more layers can be applied. For best results: follow with our Complexion Perfection Veil, and MendoTherapy Mist. Due to the long lasting coverage, if you develop any excess shine/oil throughout the day or just want to "freshen up", try our Veil, which is translucent, rather than adding more coverage.
Damp (more luminous with outstanding coverage, a favorite for dry areas, mature skin, and those who want more coverage): Dispense and prep brush as above. Spray section of face with MendoTherapy Mist and while still damp or wet, apply to face with gentle blending (experiment with dampness to foundation amount for your preference of coverage and look). Repeat until desired coverage is complete (usually 2-3 areas to complete full face). Once applied but not set (preferably), you can mist again and use brush to blend further/lighten coverage. Follow Veil instructions above. (We do not recommend using water on the skin for this application as it will dehydrate the skin during drying and does not equal the look, feel, and results of our Mist.) Tip. If you ever experience any brush hairs on your face during application, wait for the mist and product to dry/set, and then gently brush off.
Alternatively, add product to the lid. Mist the lid with one of the MendoTherapy Mists, (very little, if any mixing is necessary) dip brush and apply as a liquid foundation. Can be done for the entire face or in sections. You will find your favorite coverage and look with the amount of mist to product and application technique. Follow as usual with the Veil and Mist for best results.
As a tinted moisturizer/serum** (lighter and most luminous coverage): Sprinkle a small amount of foundation into thoroughly washed hands containing a small amount of your favorite healthy moisturizing sunscreen/moisturizer or serum and mix. Add more foundation or lotion/serum as desired to darken or lighten the color as needed. Apply to entire face (and neck if desired). Let dry and follow Veil instructions above. Combination, or dry/mature with T-zone oiliness? Great results: Use the Damp or Moisturizer/Serum application on your dry areas or section of face with dry areas and then follow with the Dry application to your T-zone or oily areas. Follow Veil instructions above. *Tip: We suggest our Dome shaped cruelty-free Capra Brush: works best to keep the product in the tips of the brush in order to maximize product use, see how much you are applying and is gentle on the skin. **We always suggest a healthy sunscreen with broad spectrum SPF whenever outside for a prolonged period of time whether you are using this underneath our cosmetics or as in Use 3. Studies have shown that the sun protection in cosmetics fail to equal the SPF on the packaging. This is why we do not label our products with SPFs. Please see our Health Guide for more information.
